Shelby + Andrew Wedding, 12 Sep 09

Had the privilege of photographing the wonderfully intimate, emotional, stylish and fun wedding of Shelby and Andrew at the Lower Mill. I was glad to meet up again with this kind couple- you may remember their engagement photos- and meet their families and friends. The day started with family portraits at the Woodcliff Hotel, where I then gave Nicole (matron of honor) a ride to the Lower Mill (cuz I do that, I'm nice like that). I then got some wonderful shots of Shelby getting ready before the ceremony downstairs. Being an art gallery, the symbolism is not lost on me.. a client gets married on the second floor then literally "gets down" to the first floor where the reception and party are (ok that was my bad joke for the week).

BTW potential brides, the Lower Mill has excellent food. I have my share of food at reception locales, and this place is a cut above. The appetizers are outstanding (the empenadas in particular) and the prime rib was exceptionally tasty and tender for prime rib.

Anyway, there were some wonderfully touching toasts (Andrew's joke about rushing into things is classic) followed by some seriously fun dancing. Thanks for a great time folks and enjoy the photos

A perfect dress and style for Shebly.

Andrew in the basement right before the ceremony.. drinking some water.. looking kinda nervous / anxious / excited...

Love this composition!

The bride enters the ceremony area with her dad

"I now pronounce you.."

Had about 5 minutes to do some portraits in Honeoye falls (about 1/4 mile from the lower mill)

I asked Andrew for a more serious look, but he was just so happy he couldn't not smile :)

Some details....

Funny toast
