So, I frequent this photography forum, you know, to learn new techniques, get feedback, talk shop. Last year someone posts they’re looking for a wedding photographer in upstate NY- and I respond (among many others). Well, thankfully Rob + Anna chose me to photograph their October wedding at
Norton Chapel at Keuka College (and reception nearby). The pressure is on of course, since Rob is a photographer himself (plus sees all the same great stuff from around the world I do on that forum).
We finally settled on a date to do their engagement shoot- and since they live in faraway Bath NY (where, coincidentally, one of the groomsmen from my own wedding is from), we chose Letchworth State Park as our glorious backdrop.. it is the “grand canyon of the east” after all!

This one is sweet… tiger lillies are blooming early this year.
Of course, if you’re at Letchworth, how can you not climb the bridge? (fast fact: this once was the site of the world’s largest wooden bridge until it burned down)
Seriously, looking through those cracks down 300+ feet gives you the creeps. So you just don’t look down. And the loogie test this time yielded 11 sec from bridge top to river. wow.
