Sarah + Pete Wedding, 6 Jun 09

I had the honor and privilege of photographing the marriage of Sarah and Pete at the lovely Midvale Country Club which hosted both the ceremony and reception. I hadn't seen Sarah and Pete since their engagement shoot last October. The day started with the ladies getting ready, and Sarah's dad delivering a card they wrote for her (future) wedding day 15 years earlier. Peter with his friends in the Marines and two brothers (one in the Navy) relaxed most of the time :) After a short but emotional ceremony officiated by Sarah's father, the bridal party drove around the country club in golf carts to various spots to take photos. Then it was on to a lively reception where all the guests had great fun and ate some of the tastiest chicken marsala I'd ever had.

Pete kept asking why his best man has his "hooah bag"...

*Ahem*

Pete calmly awaits his bride

What a grand tree.. perfect weather and spot for a wedding ceremony.

Sarah couldn't help but cry a bit as Pete read his vows

Some formals:

This epitomizes Sarah and Pete... I was suggesting some romantic pose ideas and Pete does this...

I then got the idea to have them do this shot... very much their style :)

They kept sneaking off...

Proud parents

Best ring shot of 2009 so far! Pete had a Marine sabre to cut the cake with...

I set up an impromptu portrait studio at the reception site.. awesome sunset light spilling in:

Onto the party and dancing!!

Throw your hands up and shout!

This wedding was a lot of fun guys and thank you for letting me be part of the experience. I hope you enjoy the photos and best wishes for your lives together as husband and wife.
